last-shovel introduces an advanced and immersive digging and underground stash system, designed for FiveM roleplay servers that want to add realism, risk, and investigative gameplay.
Using a shovel, players can dig the ground, create hidden persistent holes, bury items, and retrieve them later — but only if they know where and how to search.
No more magical stashes or unrealistic hiding spots: every buried item leaves a physical trace in the world.
Features
Realistic digging system
Players can dig only on valid terrain types (dirt / sand), detected dynamically through raycasting and material checks.
Underground stashes
Each dig creates a small temporary stash (2–3 slots).
If at least one item is placed inside, the hole becomes permanent.
Full persistence
Registered holes are:
saved in the database with precise coordinates
linked to the stored items
automatically restored after resource or server restarts
Flashlight-based searching
Buried stashes are not always obvious:
draw text appears only when a flashlight is turned on
short detection range (≈ 2 meters)
subtle, immersive text (e.g. “Disturbed / fresh ground”)
Players must actively search the area to discover hidden stashes.
Automatic cleanup
If a temporary stash remains empty for a configurable amount of time:
it is automatically removed
no unnecessary database entries are created
